About Me

Hi! My name is Elif but friends call me Elo. I am an illustrator and graphic designer based in İzmir, Turkey. 

In 2013, I  graduated from Dokuz Eylül University, Fine Arts Faculty, Graphic Design Department. Then I worked as an art director with various brands and projects at Fok Advertising Agency and Bake Social Media Agency for 5 years. 

I love nature and animals and I like to use these themes in my work, especially for surface designs and patterns. I started to make patterns through igi natur, a clothing brand for children, in 2015. We created a new style and make patterns which all have got a different story. İgi products are loved by many countries in Europe. After that I started designing patterns for other clients as well. 

When I was a student at university, I prepared some children’s books for school projects. Matryoshka Book was the most successful of them. This sparked an interest in illustrating books and in 2018 I got the opportunity to illustrate the Deutch book ’Samis Sprache’. That was the start of my book illustration.  

Now, I am working at my little home office as a freelance illustrator.
